The Beast, a roller coaster at Cincinnati’s King’s Island amusement park is the longest wooden roller coaster in the world.
It is credited as the first modern-day wooden coaster to generate a marketing campaign.
R.L. Stine, author of the popular Goosebumps novels, wrote a book named after and featuring the ride. R.L. Stine was born in Columbus, OH and studied English at Ohio State University.
